Role: Lead Full Stack Developer
OVERVIEW
Blink is a production-grade car care platform built to attract new customers and streamline the entire business operation. The public-facing side is a high-quality, SEO-optimized marketing website where customers book detailing appointments and purchase subscription plans online. Behind it sits a powerful admin panel covering user management, ticket assignment, financial reporting, and real-time charts — the operational backbone of the business.
METRICS
THE PROBLEM
The client needed a platform that could simultaneously sell their premium detailing services online, manage a growing customer base, coordinate a team of detailers and secretaries, and generate accurate financial reports — all in one system. Existing off-the-shelf tools either lacked the customization or the all-in-one scope they needed.
THE SOLUTION
Built on the PERN stack (PostgreSQL, Express.js, React, Node.js) with Next.js layered on top for SEO-critical public pages. Deployed on a VPS with Nginx as reverse proxy, PM2 for process management, and horizontal scalability in mind. The system was stress-tested for 10,000 concurrent users, achieving average response times of 100–200ms. A granular RBAC engine controls access for Admins, Secretaries, and Detailers.

ARCHITECTURE & DEPLOYMENT
PERN stack backend with Express.js REST APIs, PostgreSQL database, and React/Next.js frontend. Deployed on a Linux VPS behind an Nginx reverse proxy. PM2 manages Node.js process clustering for zero-downtime restarts. The system was stress-tested at 10,000 concurrent users, sustaining average response times of 100–200ms.
ADMIN DASHBOARD
A comprehensive internal management platform: user management with full CRUD, a support ticket system with detailer assignment, multi-period financial reports with dynamic charts, subscription billing overviews, and customer analytics. Built with React and a RESTful API backend.
ROLE-BASED ACCESS CONTROL
Three-tier RBAC: Admins have full system access, Secretaries manage bookings and customer communications, Detailers see only their assigned jobs and can update status. Permissions are enforced on both frontend routes and backend API middleware.
NOTIFICATION SYSTEM
Automated email notifications via a queue-based email service. Trigger types include: welcome email on registration, OTP for authentication, booking confirmation, appointment follow-up reminders, and subscription renewal alerts. Templates are HTML-formatted with the Blink brand identity.
